The Altona and Area Family Resource Centre offers support to all families in Altona and the surrounding areas. Those involved in the most important task of all, raising the next generation, are welcome to participate in our free programs. 

  

Our list of programming includes topics such as literacy, nutrition, parenting, and empowering families.  Free snacks and free crafts are offered at our groups and there is always time to visit with other parents and discuss topics of interest.

We believe that families are valuable and that the health of families affects the health of the community.  We also believe that the well-being of every family can be enhanced if parents and caregivers are given support, encouragement and education.  For this reason, we are committed to assisting and supporting all families in the area of Rhineland, regardless of structure or financial resources.

  • The Altona & Area Family Resource Centre requests applications for the position of coordinator for the Family Resource Centre (FRC).  This position is two full days a week with possible additional hours.  The applicant should be well organized, work well as a team member, and be computer literate.  The applicant should enjoy working with young children and adults.  Must be willing to take training for different programs that the FRC offers.
